I am Christos,the owner of PITHARIA guest house and a licensed tour guide in Cyprus for almost 35 years. Let me show you the real Cyprus with my tours. Guiding for me is not a profession it is a passion. In my view, people visiting Cyprus are not tourists. They are my guests. Hospitality is something found in the culture and mentality of Cypriots. It comes from within. It's part of our nature. Let me show you the real Cyprus where customs and traditions are still alive.

Discover Troodos Area
Good morning (Kalimera) first we will enjoy typical breakfast in a coffee shop at Palaichori Village. Then I will drive you to the green area of Troodos to visit Troodos Geopark next to the Mount Olympus which stands at 1952m above sea level. After we can enjoy hiking to Caledonian waterfalls (5kms-1.45h), nature trail to admire the real nature of Cyprus with a lot of flowers and plants. Then we will visit Platres Village for lunch (optional). Then to Omodos village to visit the Holy Cross monastery and the wine-press with a lots of souvenir shops and a private winery to taste the famous commandaria wine. Then we will return back to the PITHARIA place.The duration of the tour is about 6 hours.
Traditional Villages
Good morning (Kalimera) first we will enjoy typical breakfast in a coffee shop at Palaichori Village. Then we will visit a byzantine UNESCO heritage church in the village. We will visit Agros village to see and realize how local people are doing traditional products in three private factories like rose roses, homemade sweets and cooked luncheon meats. Then we will visit a private winery to taste the local wines. After we can visit the next village Pelendri to visit another interesting UNESCO church and enjoy local food in a traditional tavern (optional). At the end we will return back to the PITHARIA place. The duration of the tour is about 6 hours.
Kakopetria Village Tour
Good morning (Kalimera) we will enjoy typical breakfast in a coffee shop at Palaichori Village. Then I will drive you to Kakopetria village to visit Podithou and St.Nicolaos of the roof UNESCO heritage byzantine churches full of amazing wall paintings. Then we will enjoy our time in the old neighborhood in the upper Kakopetria village to see the mud-brick and stone houses. Some of the houses have been already restored. Also we can visit a traditional, village museum. We will have lunch (optional) in a local restaurant called meze varieties of local small dishes. At the end we will return back to the PITHARIA place. The duration of the tour is about 6 hours.
