PITHARIA is an old renovated two stories stone traditional guest house consist of four luxury suites, each one has his own character and history. It is at the center of the village Askas. All the people of the village including donkeys helped to build the stone house which is over 300 years old. It was really difficult to build the house because there is no road way, but only stone-trail to reach the house. This old house used to be in the pass for many activities.  People used to make wine in the wine-press and fire- water (zivania)and other local products. It’s one of the few houses of the village which existing the old wine-press. Evidence shows that the five jars existing in the rooms next to wine-press making also the distillation to produce the strongest alcohol in the backyard. Women used to come here to clean their clothes because of the large old stone trough(vourna).

The upper floor used to be the shoemaker shop of the village. Some of his stools are still keeping in a good condition in the room. The next room was the open sitting room (iliakos) of the reach family with a lot of members, friends and relatives having always discussion and talks about different problems of the family. Additionally used as welcoming place for their guest coming from different village’s. It was also place for many works and the main entrance of the house.
